Banned Books Week

Banned Books Week is almost upon us. Check out the website, the list of most-challenged books, the banned book map, and more. Many communities have events during the week, so look for a happening near you.

The idea is to combat censorship, whether in the form of bans or challenges. I personally support parents who monitor what their children read, but not when it impinges on the rights of other parents and the access to material in libraries. That's what Banned Books Week is about. Celebrate Free Speech.
