I certainly agree with this one. Bickham suggests posting a sign on your desk: NEVER WRITE DOWN TO YOUR READERS. Which is good advice. I tend to explain, and sometimes explain again, when usually the first time wasn't even necessary. The reader gets it, the reader enjoys connecting the dots . . . well, you get the idea. Ahem.
