Sewanee Writers' Conference

Jim Tomlinson, author of Things Kept, Things Left Behind (out this Fall from Iowa University Press), announced yesterday on his Journal that he has received a Walter E. Dakin Fellowship to the Sewanee Writers' Conference in July. Congratulations, Jim!

Since I found out last week that I've been awarded a Tennessee Williams Scholarship to Sewanee this Summer--not quite as exalted as Jim's fellowship, but still exciting and humbling--I'm looking forward to going back to The University of the South and seeing Jim there.

It's shaping up to be a busy Summer!

Congrats to both of you! And lucky Sewanee to have you both in attendance.

I went to SWC last summer and had a great time, met some wonderful writers, and learned lots. All winter I've been hoping to get back, and now I can. Looking forward to meeting you in person, Cliff.

And thanks for kind words, Myfanwy.
