Half of a Yellow Sun

A recent instalment of Five Star Literary Stories draws attention to the story Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. The story (Adichie later published a novel by the same name) first appeared in Literary Potpourri (which became InkPot) edited by Beverly Jackson. After the story appeared online, it later also appeared in print at Zoetrope: All Story, one of the premier markets for literary short stories and won an O. Henry Prize. It's a fantastic story. Bev is to be congratulated for having spotted it for LitPot/InkPot.
