The 2008 National Magazine Awards have been announced. For a complete list of the winners and finalists, go here. For our interests, congratulations are in order for Virginia Quarterly Review for a Single-Topic Issue, recognizing the South American Issue (all of the contents of which were online in addition to being in the print magazine). In the Fiction category, Harper's beat out McSweeney's, Paris Review, The New Yorker, and Zoetrope: All Story. And New Letters won in the Essay category.
