Unique Contest
I'm not sure what possessed Curtis Brown's Nathan Bransford, one of those literary agents who exposes himself to the public (i.e., writers) by blogging about his work, but he's opened a contest on his site: the Surprisingly Essential First Page Challenge. The idea is that you submit the first page of your novel (in the comments section, which of course is frighteningly public) and you might get something out of it:
