VCCA: Weekend

Although I didn't get much work done on Thursday, Friday was better and I finished a draft of another story. The planned entertainment for the night was a card game, in which several of us participated. That was fun, but it lasted late and so it was hard to get up early this morning to get to work. The morning was further complicated by a cook who overslept, so breakfast didn't happen (or it happened late). And there were further disruptions in the afternoon, so I didn't get as much done today as I would have liked, but since I'm tired from last night I think that's to be expected.

One of the disruptions today involved driving toward Lynchburg and on that road we saw the source of the smoke I've been seeing since Friday afternoon. And then I Googled when I got home and saw that there is a large fire on the mountain. I hope it's under control!

Some of the fellows went into Lynchburg for a party tonight, so the residence is quiet, and I'm too tired to work, so it's going to be an early night for me.
