Ploughshares News

I heard a couple of days ago from a usually reliable source that Don Lee, longtime (like 18 years?) editor of Ploughshares is leaving that position this summer in order to accept a teaching post at Macalester College. I haven't seen anything about this on the Ploughshares blog, but as I understand it a national search is underway to name Lee's successor.

Since Lee took over, Ploughshares has become the pre-eminent American literary magazine, consistently publishing stories that go on to win numerous awards. It's nearly impossible to break into its pages through the slush pile, but it is without a doubt the magazine I most aspire to. It will be very interesting to see who takes the helm.
