storySouth

storySouth is one of the best online literary magazines going, but for some reason it usually escapes my notice (perhaps because they aren't pushy and don't fill my email inbox with notices and announcements). But I happened to visit them today and I was glad I did because I discovered that the current featured story is by my fellow-Stauntonian Richard Plant. The story is "Professing Caliban" and is about a community college English teacher who is up for tenure and in order to bolster his C.V. takes the part of Taliban in a community theater production of The Tempest. Check it out!

And while you're there, also take a look at the two poems by Jilly Dybka.
