Distractions
With Spring come all the outdoor distractions--yard work, both the pleasurable and the necessary (I mowed the lawn today, the earliest since I've lived in this house, further evidence, I suppose, of climate change); relaxing on the porch with a book, a glass of wine, the breeze and the view; walking in the woods with the dog (at least until the ticks get too plentiful); watching the birds and the creek and the blossoming trees. With any kind of luck, I'll get enough writing done each day that I can justify enjoying my surroundings.
