National Magazine Awards

The finalists for the 2007 National Magazine Awards have been announced. Virginia Quarterly Review is up again, this time in two categories, best small magazine and best fiction. Joining VQR in the fiction category are McSweeney's and Zoetrope, as well as Playboy and The New Yorker. In the essay category, finalists among literary magazines include Georgia Review and New Letters. Winners will be announced May 1.
