Sewanee Writers' Conference

If you're looking for a writers' conference for this summer, you can't do better than the Sewanee Writers' Conference, which this year will be July 17-29. The lineup is outstanding again this year. In fiction they've got Richard Bausch and John Casey coming back (I worked with them in 2004 and 2006, respectively), as well as Jill McCorkle and Claire Messud (who co-taught with Bausch and Casey those years), as well as Randall Kenan, Tony Early, Diane Johnson and Alison Lurie. The poetry and playwriting faculty are also outstanding.

I'm also a fan of Bread Loaf, but this post was prompted by the arrival in today's mail of the Sewanee brochure, so it's on my mind.
