Awhile ago I reviewed a recent issue of New England Review, with particular emphasis on a story, "In the Company of Men," by Jan Ellison. I said then that I thought it was an outstanding story and I'm pleased that my judgment has been confirmed: Ellison tells me that the story has been selected for the 2007 O. Henry Short Story Prize Anthology. And here's the announcement posted at NER. That's wonderful news for Ms. Ellison, and an excellent choice.
