New Stories from the South--2006

For those of us who live in the South, the annual Algonquin series New Stories from the South, sort of a regional BASS, is a big deal. Dan Wickett today blogs about the stories that will be included this year, at Emerging Writers Network. I've heard of many of the honorees this year, but I know three--Kevin Wilson and Quinn Dalton, whom I met at Sewanee in 2004, and R.T. Smith, Editor of Shenandoah. Very exciting! Congratulations to all!

Oh, that's right, Nick--I've seen your work in Shenandoah. Of course, this isn't Rod's first time in New Stories, and I just noticed that Kevin had a story in last year's issue also!
